What amazing service here! After a great 4hr visit to the park and adventure playground I left and realised I had lost my wallet somewhere. I returned to find that the playground had closed for lunch which is where I suspected I’d lost it. I was quickly able to find a security guard who put a call out. He then got another security guard off his lunch break who took me around to help me find it. Didn’t get the guys name but what a legend! Turns out some honest person had returned it to the playground reception and the £50 in it was still in tact! The staff were so kind and helpful that they deserve a special shout out.

Disappointed that you have to pay a lot to go into adventure playground when there used to be a free park! It was closed anyway. Expensive shop and cafe and restaurant and burger van serves up shit for a high price. The river and bridge is still untouched and majestic

I don’t really know about the rooms but child friendly. We stayed here for 3 hours that was the slot and all with my step family.

UPDATED - Returned for the first time in a while and had a much better experience, staff at the coffee shop and the food vans outside were very helpful and friendly. Ice skating was disappointing but the staff were great.
ORIGINAL - Great park and grounds, cafe serves good food albeit in a very grumpy, unfriendly way

We were really looking forward to this place. We had done everything in about 35 mins so I do think it's expensive for the visit. Also had to pay for parking on top of buying the tickets to Fort Douglas.

There are various routes to follow depending on physical abilities. The sign posting is extremely poor, with just a few markers to show the way. Even getting to the start is confusing. We met others who were equally confused, so not just us. The restaurant was overpriced and food not that good. It's a shame as the location is beautiful.
